The Youth Manchester United 2005-06 Home Kit recreates the classic red strip worn during a transitional but highly memorable season at Old Trafford, featuring a squad led by Wayne Rooney, Cristiano Ronaldo, Ruud van Nistelrooy, Ryan Giggs and Rio Ferdinand.
The jersey features a bright red base with sharply defined white shoulder panels, complemented by black detailing around the V-neck and sleeve edges. Its clean, athletic early-2000s construction makes it instantly recognisable as the home design worn during the emergence of the Rooney–Ronaldo generation. The design was originally introduced for 2004/05 and remained Manchester United’s home shirt throughout 2005/06.

Manchester United finished second in the Premier League in 2005/06. Although they could not prevent Chelsea from retaining the title, the season marked an important stage in Alex Ferguson's rebuilding of the team around a younger generation.
The campaign produced silverware in the League Cup. United reached the final against Wigan Athletic at the Millennium Stadium in Cardiff and won emphatically 4–0. Wayne Rooney scored twice, with Louis Saha and Cristiano Ronaldo adding the other goals. Rooney was named Man of the Match.
Individually, Ruud van Nistelrooy remained the leading scorer with 24 goals in all competitions, while the 20-year-old Wayne Rooney scored 19. Cristiano Ronaldo contributed 12, and Louis Saha scored 15 despite making considerably fewer starts.
The season was particularly significant for Rooney and Ronaldo. Both were already established first-team players, but 2005/06 represented the final stage before United's younger side developed into Premier League champions in 2006/07 and European champions in 2007/08.
