The Sweden 1994 Away Retro Football Shirt recreates the white away jersey associated with one of the greatest tournaments in Swedish football history — the 1994 FIFA World Cup in the United States, where Sweden finished third.

The shirt features a clean white base, complemented by a blue V-neck collar with yellow detailing. Distinctive blue and yellow diagonal graphic stripes run down the sides of the body, creating a design closely related to Sweden’s famous yellow 1994 home shirt while reversing the primary colour scheme. Period kit records identify the white, blue and yellow design as Sweden’s 1994 away shirt.

This jersey represents the celebrated generation featuring Tomas Brolin, Martin Dahlin, Kennet Andersson, Henrik Larsson, Jonas Thern and Stefan Schwarz, who took Sweden to their best World Cup finish since 1958.

Country: Sweden
Competition: FIFA World Cup USA 1994
Kit Type: Away Jersey

Sweden entered the 1994 FIFA World Cup under head coach Tommy Svensson and produced an outstanding tournament. Drawn alongside Brazil, Russia and Cameroon, Sweden progressed from the group undefeated, including a 3–1 victory over Russia in which Tomas Brolin scored and Martin Dahlin struck twice, followed by a 1–1 draw against eventual champions Brazil.

In the Round of 16, Sweden defeated Saudi Arabia 3–1, with Martin Dahlin opening the scoring and Kennet Andersson scoring twice. The quarter-final against Romania became one of the defining matches of Sweden’s tournament. After a 2–2 draw, Sweden won the penalty shootout 5–4 to reach their first World Cup semi-final since 1958.

Sweden met Brazil again in the semi-final and were narrowly beaten 1–0, with Romário scoring the decisive goal in the 80th minute. They responded spectacularly in the third-place match, defeating Bulgaria 4–0 through first-half goals from Tomas Brolin, Håkan Mild, Henrik Larsson and Kennet Andersson. Sweden therefore completed USA ’94 in third place, one of the greatest achievements in the national team’s history.

The tournament used fixed World Cup squad numbers, so the player-printing combinations are particularly clear. Sweden’s registered squad included LARSSON 7, THERN 9, DAHLIN 10, BROLIN 11, LIMPAR 16, MILD 18 and K. ANDERSSON 19.

Rec. Player Printing Options

Printing Recommendation
BROLIN 11 One of the defining choices from Sweden’s 1994 World Cup team. Tomas Brolin was a central attacking figure throughout the tournament and scored in both the 3–1 victory over Russia and the 4–0 third-place victory over Bulgaria.
DAHLIN 10 A classic choice from Sweden’s outstanding attacking line. Martin Dahlin scored twice against Russia and opened the scoring against Saudi Arabia in the Round of 16, making No.10 strongly connected with the World Cup run.
K. ANDERSSON 19 An outstanding tournament-specific choice. Kennet Andersson scored five goals at USA ’94, including twice against Saudi Arabia and once in the third-place victory over Bulgaria.
LARSSON 7 A particularly iconic long-term choice. A young Henrik Larsson wore No.7 at his first World Cup and scored against Bulgaria in the third-place match.
THERN 9 Captain Jonas Thern wore No.9 and led Sweden’s midfield throughout the tournament, making this an excellent choice for a player closely connected to the identity of the 1994 side.
SCHWARZ 6 A strong midfield option. Stefan Schwarz was an important starter throughout Sweden’s World Cup run and provides a highly representative printing from the tournament.
INGESSON 8 Another excellent period-specific choice. Klas Ingesson was a regular throughout the tournament and played an important role in Sweden’s energetic midfield.
MILD 18 A distinctive tournament option. Håkan Mild scored in the 4–0 third-place victory over Bulgaria and also featured in Sweden’s dramatic quarter-final against Romania.

BROLIN 11 is one of the most recognisable printing combinations associated with Sweden’s extraordinary 1994 World Cup campaign.

Tomas Brolin was an established star of the national team and played a central attacking role throughout USA ’94. His tournament included the equalising penalty against Russia, Sweden’s famous set-piece goal against Romania in the quarter-final, and the opening goal in the 4–0 third-place victory over Bulgaria. His No.11 is confirmed by Sweden’s official tournament squad numbering.

For a goalscoring-focused alternative, K. ANDERSSON 19 is especially significant: he scored five World Cup goals, making him Sweden’s leading scorer at USA ’94. DAHLIN 10 is another classic option from the tournament, while LARSSON 7 has particular appeal because the 1994 World Cup marked the young Henrik Larsson’s first appearance on football’s biggest stage.
