The Argentinos Juniors 1996–97 Home Retro Football Jersey celebrates a memorable championship-winning season in the history of the Buenos Aires club. Following relegation from Argentina's top division in 1996, Argentinos Juniors responded by winning the 1996–97 Primera B Nacional championship under manager Osvaldo Sosa. The team recorded 22 victories across 42 matches, scored 79 goals and secured promotion with a decisive 1–0 victory over Gimnasia y Tiro on 7 June 1997. The achievement marked an immediate return to the Primera División and remains an important chapter in the club's history.

The promotion-winning squad featured influential players including Eduardo Bennett, Daniel Quinteros, Diego Placente, Rolando Schiavi, Liber Vespa and Fernando Zermattén. Honduran striker Bennett led the competition with 23 goals, while Quinteros scored the decisive goal that confirmed the championship. The squad also featured young talents who would later establish themselves at higher levels of Argentine and international football, reflecting Argentinos Juniors' longstanding reputation for developing talented players.

The home jersey features a striking red base with subtle vertical pinstripes, complemented by an asymmetric design featuring a contrasting white right sleeve and white shoulder panel with red stripe detailing. A classic white V-shaped neckline completes the distinctive mid-1990s appearance, while the club crest and prominent Crown Mustang chest sponsorship reinforce its period identity. Combining an eye-catching asymmetric design with the historical significance of Argentinos Juniors' 1996–97 championship and promotion, this retro home shirt is a memorable tribute to the club's football heritage.

Best Printing Choice: 10 (Diego Maradona)

We recommend No.10 (Diego Maradona) as the definitive printing choice for the Argentinos Juniors 1980 Home Retro Football Shirt. Maradona produced one of the most extraordinary seasons of his early career in 1980, scoring 25 goals to finish as the Metropolitano’s leading scorer before adding another 17 to top the scoring charts in the Campeonato Nacional. His performances inspired Argentinos Juniors to a runners-up finish in the Metropolitano and a place in the Nacional semi-finals.

No.10 is also firmly supported by period match evidence. Maradona wore the number during the 1980 campaign, including the famous 2–0 victory away to River Plate in which he scored both Argentinos Juniors goals. Combining outstanding season performance, historical authenticity and the unmistakable association between Maradona and the No.10 shirt, this is the definitive collector choice for the 1980 home design.
